We’ve got a new podcast up. We discuss FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup as well as stadium plans.
Today features the last of Arizona’s pre-season training games. In one of two scheduled matches, Sporting Kansas City will face our local squad FC Tucson over at Kino Sports Complex.
I’ve been told that the league doesn’t want to call it “Spring Training,” that it’s “Preseason Training.” I’ve also been told not to spell “Preseason” with a hyphen.
I have scant data to go on, but what I’ve seen from FC Tucson so far gives me hope that this will be an exciting team to watch when the PDL season starts in a few months.
I’ve been bad about keeping you all up to date here, but don’t take that as meaning that nothing is going on.
The Quakes are team number five for Tucson pre-season training.
The team is playing against San Diego Boca today. Last I checked, they were winning. I’ll bug Rick Schantz later about this one.
FC Tucson had total control of the game against a good but to be fair younger side, Sunland FC.
