Michał Zachodny is reporting that there are problems in the Jaga camp:
Meanwhile there is a crisis in Jagiellonia. Rumours are spreading around that coach Michał Probierz and the main striker Tomasz Frankowski are not in the best of relationships.
Wonderful. The team is the current Polish Cup and SuperCup holder, but they have only managed two points since the winter break (even bottom dwelling Cracovia Kraków has managed a win, and five points, since the restart). Now there is a problem between the coach and the second leading scorer in the league?
If true, this wouldn’t be the first time Frankowski has crossed a coach. Chicago Fire fans will remember Franek’s criticism of Denis Hamlett led to his being benched and eventually cut from the team.
By the way, yesterday ended Jaga’s defense of the Polish Cup. The team only managed a 1 – 1 draw against Lechia. They also drew the first leg in Gdańsk, meaning Lechia squeaked through on tie-breaking away goals. A penalty kick that would have given them the lead and a ticket to the next round was missed by, yep, Frankowski.
