This morning word got out that the Portland Timbers were firing John Spencer. Spencer, along with Aron Winter and Piotr Nowak, made up a “won’t last the season” list circulated by soccer pundits.
Near as I can tell, those were the three. There are other teams who aren’t performing up to snuff, however. Although, the worst of the under-performing teams is the Galaxy, but I can’t imagine Arena getting fired.
How would that work anyway? The GM calls Arena into the office and…oh yeah.
So, here’s the poll. You fans, you teeming masses, you tell me who you think is next. I left off John Hackworth, since “interim” is Latin for “he’s going to be replaced without actually being fired.”
